Children Visit Perrygrove Railway

On the 1st of March 2020, our young members visited the Perrygrove Railway in Gloucestershire for the day. The more experienced members were tasked with steaming two locomotives. Throughout the day they all performed driving, firing, and guarding duties for the members of the public under the supervision of the staff at Perrygrove.

The Trust is extremely grateful to David Nelson and his team for hosting us. The staff were very good in engaging and trusting the children with various aspects of running the railway. We hope more events such as this can be arranged in the future.
